Frequently asked questions
What VividMotion does, what it doesn't, and how the pieces fit together.
Getting started
What is VividMotion?
You connect VividMotion to the AI assistant you already use, then describe the video you want in plain language. Your assistant builds it, we render it, and the finished vertical video appears in your library ready for Instagram. There is no timeline, no editor and nothing to drag.
Do I need to know how to edit video?
No. That is the point. You describe what the video should say and we handle typography, layout, motion, timing and voiceover. If you can write a sentence, you can make a reel.
Which AI assistants work with it?
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, VS Code and Windsurf. Anything that supports MCP connectors will work — the setup is a single paste, and our Connect page gives you the exact snippet for your app.
Do I have to install anything?
No. VividMotion runs as a hosted connector, so there is nothing to download or keep running on your machine. You paste one line into your assistant and it can create for you from then on.
Can I use it without an AI assistant?
The studio is where your reels land, where you review them and where you publish from, and all of that works on its own. Creating a reel, though, happens by asking your assistant — that connection is how the product works.
Your brand
What is a design system?
It is a locked visual language: the type, the layout, the motion and the rules that hold a reel together. Picking one is how every video you make ends up looking like it came from the same place. Editorial is quiet and serif, Blok is heavy caps that stop the scroll, Flood drowns the scene in your colour — and there are more once you are set up.
Do I have to describe my brand every time?
No. You choose a look once during setup and it is saved to your profile. Every reel your assistant makes carries it automatically — the same type, the same colour, the same chrome — without you mentioning it again.
Can I change my look later?
Yes, any time, under Brand. Style, background and colour are all editable, and nothing you choose during setup is locked in. Changing it affects new reels; reels you have already rendered stay as they were.
Can I use my own photos and videos?
Yes. Upload them to an album under Captures, then point your assistant at that album by name. Several design systems are built specifically around photos and video clips.
Publishing
Does it post to Instagram automatically?
Never without you. Finished reels wait in your library until you review them and choose to publish. This is deliberate: nothing reaches your audience that you have not seen first.
Can I schedule posts?
Yes. When you publish you can send a reel out immediately or queue several with a gap between them. The queue is visible under Publishing so you can always see what is going out and when.
What if I do not want to connect Instagram at all?
That is fine. You can download every reel as an MP4 and post it however you like, or not at all. Connecting an account only adds the option to publish from here.
The videos
What format are the videos?
1080 by 1920, vertical 9:16, H.264 MP4 at 30fps — the format Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts expect. You can download the file at any time.
How long does a reel take to render?
Usually under a minute or two. You do not have to wait around for it: start a reel, close the tab, and it will be in your library when you come back.
Is there a voiceover?
Yes, when you ask for one. Narration is generated and the scene timings are synced to the audio, so the words on screen and the words being spoken stay together. You can also leave a reel silent.
What happens if a render fails?
It is shown in your library with the actual reason rather than disappearing quietly, so you can adjust and ask again.
How long are the reels?
Most run between 30 and 60 seconds, which is where short-form video performs best. Longer is possible, up to a couple of minutes.
Account
Is there a free tier?
Yes. New accounts start free with a monthly allowance of renders, which is enough to see whether the product fits how you work. Your current usage is always visible in your account.
What languages does it support?
The studio is available in English and Português. Separately, you can ask your assistant for a reel in any language it speaks, and the narration and on-screen text will follow.
How do I keep my API key safe?
Treat it like a password. It is shown once when created and never again, it goes only into your assistant's configuration, and you can create a new one at any time from the Connect page if you think it has been exposed.
